Wonderful start to week 2

Kia ora koutou,
What a fabulous start to week 2! School life is crazy busy at the moment!

Congratulations to all Turanganui classes who had their first interclass touch game at lunchtime. All classes won their games scoring points for tries, fair play and organisation. Gisborne Intermediate prides ourselves on teaching the children to be all round students and whilst we all love to win - we also want our students to be inclusive and supportive team members. Our lunchtime comp reflects this via the scoring system. Can our Turanganui classes feature in the top 3 classes for each year level in 2016?

Our Year 7's completing their 'treading water' risk assessment for camp.

Tomorrow Rooms 20, 22 and 24 will be heading to the Museum for the day. All students in these classes need to have an umbrella or jacket if it looks like rain, a packed morning tea, lunch and drink bottle. We will return to school by 3pm.

Finally, we look forward to seeing you all at tomorrow evening's Meet the Teacher night anytime between 5pm and 7pm. Sausages will be available but feel free to bring along a picnic dinner for your whanau too. We have games of touch, bat down and a slippery slide planned and would love for you and your child to fill in their aspirations for the year. These will be proudly displayed on our walls this year and referred to when goal setting.
