Welcome to Week 5

Kia ora koutou and welcome to week 5,

Last week we had four very important visitors from ERO (Education Review Office) based in our school. We were all extremely proud of the way our Turanganui children welcomed our visitors, engaged with them while they were here and farewelled them on their final day. The ERO officers had a lot of complimentary things to say about our gorgeous children and we know Mr Udall was very proud of everybody.

Congratulations to Koka Trace and the Whangara Old Girls for taking out the premiere netball championship at the YMCA on Saturday. We look forward to celebrating with her tomorrow along with the announcement of our next wave of Tekau Ma Rua leaders. We will also be celebrating our top Mathletes in the school, our sports teams and reps, our NCEA Te Reo students and individual class high achievers for the past week. It is wonderful to have so many high achievers in Turanganui and great to see everyone sporting their leadership badges with pride - these toanga should be worn daily as inspiration for others to aim high.

Congratulations to McKenzie Pepere and Peyton Riri who were our Turanganui Students of the Week last Friday. Both of these ladies are fantastic ambassadors for the school and well deserving of this recognition. Photo's of all of our students of the week are up on room 23's window. We are also going to have a syndicate leadership badge board up in the near future to celebrate our highest achievers and to inspire our other students. Every Turanganui student received a leadership badge for Kapa Haka Extension last week. If your child has not received theirs yet please get them to come to room 22 to get one.
